This policy applies to Bulu and Bulu Pro. The apps do not require an account. Player names stay on your device and are not sent to our analytics service. We use limited product analytics to understand app usage and performance. In Bulu version 1.4.0 and later, PostHog analytics is off until you choose to share usage data.
Local Storage
Bulu and Bulu Pro store settings, player names, game progress, and scores locally on your device. Bulu also stores your analytics preference locally. Player names and saved game records are not sent to PostHog; limited gameplay events and settings information, such as the selected language, may be included in the analytics described below.
Device Motion (Parallax Effect)
The apps read motion sensor data (accelerometer) solely to animate a subtle parallax effect on the background and support motion-based gameplay controls where available. This data is processed on-device in real time and is never stored, transmitted, or shared. No fitness, health, or activity data is collected. iOS may show the system prompt "Motion & Fitness" — this wording is set by iOS and cannot be changed by apps; Bulu and Bulu Pro only use the accelerometer for app visuals and gameplay controls.
Optional Camera and Photos — Bulu Camouflage
In Bulu's Camouflage game, you can choose a photo or take one as a game background. Camera and photo-library access is requested when you select the corresponding option. You can use the supplied backgrounds without granting either permission, and you can change permissions in your device settings.
The selected or captured image is processed on your device. We do not upload it to our servers, RevenueCat, or PostHog, and we do not include its contents or file path in analytics. If you opt in to analytics, an event may indicate whether you chose a supplied background or a photo.
The image picker may keep a temporary copy in the app's local cache until the operating system clears it or the app is deleted. Choosing another background stops using the previous photo in that round; it does not delete your original photo from your library. Bulu does not automatically save camera captures to your photo library.
Detective Cases Downloads
Some Detective Cases in Bulu need their case images downloaded once before play. When you start a download, the app requests short-lived download links from our server (Google Cloud Run and Google Cloud Storage, region europe-west1) and then downloads the image files. Like any web request, this reveals your device's IP address to Google Cloud while the request is handled, and Google Cloud's standard request logs may keep it for a limited period. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not link it to an account; Bulu has no accounts, and these downloads are free and require no sign-in. Downloaded files are stored only on your device, can be read offline, and can be removed at any time from the game's settings.
Purchases
Bulu may offer an in-app Pro purchase. When you purchase that upgrade, the transaction is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Bulu uses RevenueCat to verify and manage purchase entitlements. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous user identifier and receives purchase receipt data to confirm your Pro status. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment card information. Bulu Pro is a separate paid-download app. Bulu Pro does not use RevenueCat, does not sell in-app purchases, and does not receive or store payment card information. The paid app download transaction is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play.
Product Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand app usage, improve games, and identify technical problems. Depending on the app and version, this can include app opens, the games or modes played, game starts and round completions, onboarding and settings actions, background selections, paywall interactions, purchase status and product information, and technical error codes. Events can also include the selected language, app version and build, operating system version, and device type.
PostHog associates events with a randomly generated installation identifier so that activity from the same app installation can be measured across sessions. This identifier is not your name or email address, but it links events to the same installation; the analytics is therefore not fully anonymous.
We do not use PostHog session replay, autocapture, person profiles, GeoIP location, ads tracking, or cross-app tracking. We do not send free-form purchase error or diagnostic message text; purchase error analytics use stable error codes only. For details, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.
Your Analytics Choice — Bulu 1.4.0 and Later
These consent controls apply to Bulu version 1.4.0 and later. Earlier Bulu versions and the separate Bulu Pro app may collect the limited analytics described above without these controls. Update Bulu to version 1.4.0 or later, when available, to use the analytics choice.

We do not store account data on our servers because Bulu and Bulu Pro do not require accounts. Local game state saved by the apps on your own device:
RevenueCat retains anonymous purchase records for Bulu in-app purchases only. PostHog retains product analytics events, as described in its privacy policy.
In Bulu 1.4.0 and later, pending analytics events are held in memory rather than saved to disk for a future app launch. They are discarded when analytics is disabled. The installation identifier is stored locally so that opted-in activity can be associated across sessions.
To stop future PostHog analytics in Bulu 1.4.0 or later, turn off Settings → Share usage data. You can continue using the app without sharing analytics.
All game data is stored locally on your device. You have full control over deletion at any time.
Option 1 — Uninstall the app: All local data is permanently deleted when you uninstall Bulu or Bulu Pro from your device.
Option 2 — Clear app data without uninstalling (Android only): Go to Settings → Apps → Bulu or Bulu Pro → Storage → Clear Data. On iOS, delete and reinstall the app to clear all local data.
Uninstalling the app or clearing local data does not automatically delete analytics or purchase entitlement records already held by service providers. For access, deletion, or other privacy requests about those records, contact us at skyes@yasirkara.com. Because there is no app account, we may need additional information to locate records associated with your installation or purchase.
Check the age rating displayed in your region's app store for the app and version you use. We do not require accounts and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continuing to use Bulu does not grant permission for optional analytics; the analytics choice described above remains under your control.
