Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Bulu and Bulu Pro. The apps do not require an account and do not collect your name, email address, payment card details, or location. We use limited, privacy-safe analytics to understand app usage and product performance.

1. Data We Collect

Local Storage

Bulu and Bulu Pro store game state locally on your device: settings (language, sound preferences), player names entered during a game session, and game scores. This data never leaves your device and is never shared with any service.

Device Motion (Parallax Effect)

The apps read motion sensor data (accelerometer) solely to animate a subtle parallax effect on the background and support motion-based gameplay controls where available. This data is processed on-device in real time and is never stored, transmitted, or shared. No fitness, health, or activity data is collected. iOS may show the system prompt "Motion & Fitness" — this wording is set by iOS and cannot be changed by apps; Bulu and Bulu Pro only use the accelerometer for app visuals and gameplay controls.

Purchases

Bulu may offer an in-app Pro purchase. When you purchase that upgrade, the transaction is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Bulu uses RevenueCat to verify and manage purchase entitlements. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous user identifier and receives purchase receipt data to confirm your Pro status. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment card information. Bulu Pro is a separate paid-download app. Bulu Pro does not use RevenueCat, does not sell in-app purchases, and does not receive or store payment card information. The paid app download transaction is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play.

Product Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to collect custom product analytics events that help us understand whether the apps and product flows are working. These events may include app open, game start, first round completion, background selection, settings actions, purchase or paywall funnel events where applicable, the played language (locale), broad mode family (tabu or charades), an anonymous app identifier, and limited app version, OS, and device type technical properties.

We do not use PostHog session replay, autocapture, person profiles, GeoIP location, ads tracking, or cross-app tracking. We do not send free-form purchase error or diagnostic message text; purchase error analytics use stable error codes only. For details, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

We do not store account data on our servers because Bulu and Bulu Pro do not require accounts. Local game state saved by the apps on your own device:

RevenueCat retains anonymous purchase records for Bulu in-app purchases only. PostHog retains product analytics events, as described in its privacy policy.

5. How to Delete Your Data

All game data is stored locally on your device. You have full control over deletion at any time.

Option 1 — Uninstall the app: All local data is permanently deleted when you uninstall Bulu or Bulu Pro from your device.

Option 2 — Clear app data without uninstalling (Android only): Go to Settings → Apps → Bulu or Bulu Pro → Storage → Clear Data. On iOS, delete and reinstall the app to clear all local data.

6. Children's Privacy

The apps are suitable for all ages. We do not require accounts and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated last updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.
